These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Abstia mobile application (the “App”) operated by Abstia, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

2. Account Registration

To use the App, you must create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3. Use of the App

Abstia is a fasting tracker designed to help you monitor intermittent fasting schedules, track progress, and receive coaching insights. You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws.

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated means to access the App without our permission

4. Health Disclaimer

The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The fasting stages, coaching tips, and biofeedback features are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

You should consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any fasting program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, are taking medications, or have a history of eating disorders.

We are not responsible for any health consequences resulting from your use of the App or decisions made based on information provided by the App.

5. User Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the App, including fasting records, biofeedback entries, and notes. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality to you.

Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, graphics, and content (excluding user data), is owned by Abstia, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission.

7. Availability and Updates

We strive to keep the App available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time without prior notice.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the App, other users, or us.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Abstia, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data
  • Health outcomes related to fasting
  • Interruption of service
  • Errors in coaching recommendations

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
