Delete Your Account

Abstia (the “App”) is developed and operated by Abstia, LLC. This page explains how to request deletion of your Abstia account and the data associated with it, what we delete, what we keep, and for how long.

How to request account deletion

Account deletion is handled by email request. To delete your Abstia account and associated data:

  1. Email privacy@abstia.com from the email address associated with your Abstia account.
  2. Use the subject line “Delete my account” so we can process your request quickly.
  3. In the message, confirm the display name on your account so we can verify ownership.
  4. We will confirm your request and permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days.

Using Abstia anonymously

If you use Abstia anonymously — you never linked an email, Google, or Apple account — your data is tied to a single device install and is not associated with your name or email. Uninstalling the App removes your access to that data. If you would also like the underlying anonymous record removed from our servers, email us at privacy@abstia.com and we will help locate and delete it.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove all personal data associated with it, including:

  • Account information — display name, email address, profile photo, and authentication credentials
  • Profile information — name, birthdate, height, preferred units, gender, and goal weight
  • Fasting data — your fasts, schedules, completion status, biofeedback entries, and notes
  • Preferences — timer display mode, theme, notification settings, and timezone
  • Connected health data — any weight, calorie, and macronutrient samples synced from Apple Health or Google Health Connect into your Abstia account
  • Device information — push notification token and login timestamps

Deleting your Abstia account does not change anything in Apple Health or Google Health Connect. Abstia's health integration is read-only and never writes to them, so the original data remains in your device's health store; we only delete the copy that was synced into Abstia.

What data is kept, and for how long

  • Personal data: permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
  • Anonymized analytics: aggregated, de-identified usage and diagnostic data (collected via Vexo Analytics) that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for product analytics. It never includes your health data.
  • Legal records: in the rare case we are required to retain certain records to comply with a legal obligation, we keep only what the law requires and for no longer than required, then delete it.
